God came to earth as a baby on the first Christmas Day. Never mind all the shopping, presents, tree decoration, awkward family, the Nativity Play or the other accumulated sidetracking prettiness, Jesus came in a hard place to live in a hard world to show us how to do that and to save us from the sorrows of this world and bring us to eternal life.
