Dear Everyone! I remain overwhelmed by the cards received, the conversations of best wishes and the Congregation gathering after the 10 am Service on Sunday. Magnificent fizz cake and lovely flowers [still ‘in the pink’!], for which my thanks. The generosity of my present in the form of a cheque caused me to have a stunned silence, when I returned home, followed by a jig around the dining room. There will be a period of happy debate with myself about how to use it, weighing one delightful option against another. A very big thank you.
It has been an extraordinary journey with you all over the last 14 years, a real rollercoaster at times. We have walked, talked, discussed, and argued in meetings [many!], on weekends and days away and countless other places. I have been supported in prayer, encouraged when struggling and enjoyed sharing our joys and laughter, as well as the privilege of sharing some of your sad times. I have been much blessed in this part of the Body of Christ at P & J. Thank you.
I came to Cheltenham to retire – it has just taken a tad longer than I expected! So, prayers please, for my next season. But it is a time for your next season also: my prayers and blessings for all of you in this place. Liz Mitchell
