During Lent we start to look towards the events of Holy Week and Easter. As we do so we will be using a different layout for our services on 2nd March (Ash Wednesday), 13th March, 20th March and 3rd April. On these dates the chairs in the Nave will be in the east West ‘chevrons’ as they currently are. We will, however, be using our high altar for communion. This will mean that we will receive communion at the high altar step, going up through the choir stalls and returning to our seats via the choir vestry and Memorial Chapel. In so doing, we will be able to have a sense of the journey towards the foot of the cross, as we receive communion in front of the Reredos. On other Sundays in lent including mothering Sunday we will be in the round gathered around the Nave altar.
