An enormous thank you to everyone who helped with the Suffolks’ May Fair on Bank Holiday Monday. There were many who helped behind the scenes beforehand including those who rescuing/ recycling ribbons for the church shapes, as well as guillotining an awful lot of those shapes, sorted out the banner, photocopied, help gather all the equipment needed and helped set-up and taking down. And thanks to all those who gave their time, overcoming that slightly scary first conversation and emerging triumphant! We had many really good conversations, some leading to completed churches and other, just as important, explaining why being in the community is the right place for the church to be.
The ‘Churches on Ribbons’ are on display in the Memorial Chapel and will be there for June. Please do go and read them and pray about how we may answer the enquiries. They are honest and cover a range of opinions. As well as informing us, they will also be going to the Diocese, to feed in to the work that Bishop Rachel is leading on ‘Journeying Together’’. Many thanks from all of us. Liz Mitchell
