South Cheltenham Churches Youth Project November Update

Rock Solid

This is our new group for 10-14 year olds and this term has gone really well and the group have formed good relationships with each other and the leaders. We have explored a number of topics and I am using Youth for Christ material which gives good options for the session. Some of the group helped lead the Light up the Dark service at Pip & Jims on Oct 31st.

Bournside School

I am now working in this school on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes this year and on Thursdays I work with key Yr 7’s who need support in building confidence and friendships and it is an answer to prayer that this is now happening. Thank you for continuing to hold the youth project in your prayers and this leads me to…….

2017- 2020 Vision

The youth project will have a new vision next year for the next three years and we have a meeting as a youth committee on November 8th to move this forward so we can take it to SCC Team Council for their approval. Please pray for Ian and the committee as we meet this month and seek to meet the needs of the young people in our churches and wider community.

Spark and Sanctuary Youth Cafe are going well and a group of us went to Revive which is a youth service once a term held locally. Last month it was at Mariners Church, Gloucester docks and it was a joy and blessing to see the church full of young people worshipping Jesus and responding to the word. The main Revive day will be on Saturday 18th February next year.

Thank you for your support and see you all this month.   Ian Hart and the Youth Team.
