We are changing the day on which we hold an hour of Silent Prayer, in the Memorial Chapel. It is moving to Tuesday, from 1.30-2.30pm, starting on Tuesday 15 August 2017. As before, it is a weekly event. All are welcome to come and join us, for all or part of the hour. Initially, an hour seems like a long time; later, it may go by all too quickly! As it says, we sit in silence for that time, seeking to listen to what God wishes to say to us. In a very busy week, it is an opportunity to be still, silent before the Lord. Often, we can find ourselves remembering to pray to God – without waiting or giving time to listen to what He is trying to say to us!
I am happy to discuss this further with anyone. I now find it an essential part of my week. Liz Mitchell
