Nick writes; “Can I thank everyone who took the time to contact myself and the churchwardens regarding the order of service we have recently been using.  Some of the main comments that I have heard are as follows;

• Could the welcome be less scripted?
• We like the greater lay involvement but we need to ensure people are heard
• We would prefer a musical setting where we can sing all of the words, not just some of them.
• The periods of silence were sometimes difficult to hold prayerfully in a noisy 10am service
• We’re not sure that now is a good time to make changes

I will take all of this to our next worship reference group and we will use this feedback to inform future service planning.  Thank you again and thank you too to everyone who volunteered to take part.
