We continue to make good progress with our preparation and planning for a major church reordering. During the past couple of weeks the church has been visited by a number of specialist consultants, to advise us on technical aspects of our proposals.
- Canitfix, a firm of structural glazing specialists from London spent a couple of hours examining the Memorial Chapel, along with Fred Hamer of RRA Architects, to determine the most appropriate approach to glazing this holy space.
- Isabelle Phillips, a director at our mechanical and electrical engineering consultants, spent a morning surveying the church and has since held detailed discussions with David and Sian to agree matters relating to lighting and audio.
- Cotswold Drainage has also visited and carried out a CCTV survey to check that our present drains are not damaged.
Our preparatory work will continue over the coming weeks and we will keep the congregation up to date with developments, so – watch this space!
