The PCC has issued an agreed Letter of Intent to Ken Biggs Contractors Ltd of Bristol for them to undertake the reordering works. A Pre-Contract meeting is being held on Wednesday 29th January before Rev. Nick Davies, Chair of the PCC, signs the contract. The contract sum and dates will include the landscaping, however, a date (probably the end of August) will be agreed that represents the Church Council’s last opportunity to omit or include the landscaping. The reasoning for this is that at present the project has a shortfall of funds (circa £250,000) to be able to complete the vision, a significant amount of which represents the cost of the landscaping! On Wednesday 22nd January Advance Removals took into long-term storage the remaining furniture items, etc. and other contents of the church following the removal of the pews. A date to hand over the building to Ken Biggs Contractors will be agreed at the meeting on 29th January.
