Bread in the Basement!

I have booked the Basement Kitchen in Church House at 2.00 pm on Tuesday 13 June and look forward to seeing you then and there! As usual, please would you bring with you a bowl/ container, able to hold the dough to make an 800 g [large] loaf?  I suggest you bring an apron as well.  Rings best left at home or covered. New comers, you are welcome – with or without experience. We will be shaping and then cooking small breads; this time, we will bake tea breads, such as a Swedish ring! Tea or coffee always available – and really getting to grips with that kneading so that you can take dough home to prove and cook.  Please bring your diaries, so that we can book another session. We will also continue to think about the shape of the way forward, to invite people who are strangers to Church – or who have left it.  May we show the love of Jesus in our actions and attitude.  Sign-up on the sheet at the back of Church.

Great news! Prayers have been answered for premises in which to base the Welcoming Bread Group [interim name]: Bethesda Church have invited us to use their kitchen.  Please continue to pray as we move forward – for the group and also for those who will come to join us.  Thank you, Bethesda – and thank you God, for giving you that heart. Looking forward to seeing you – Liz.
