The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: a Triplet initiative

All are invited to participate in a discussion of ecumenical themes led by Professor Gordon McConville on Wednesday Jan 18th at 7.30 pm at Bethesda Church Great Norwood Street.  Gordon has just published a book entitled ‘Being Human in God’s world’ and is Professor of Old Testament Studies at the University of Gloucestershire. He is an expert on the Psalms. This will be followed by a short interdenominational liturgy based on the World Council of Churches Week of Prayer for Christian Unity themes led by Bishop Patrick. The Triplet groups are an informal tri-monthly meeting for sharing and prayer between members of Bethesda and St Philip and St James.   They are open to new participants and have been a rich source of encouragement. More details from Patrick Harris at pandvharris@blueyonder.co.uk, Marion Povey at marionjudithpovey@tiscali.co.uk or John Cox at john1.cox@virgin.net.
