Following Evensong in our Cathedral at Gloucester, 10 new members will be admitted to the Company of St Kyneburga. She was the Abbess, in the 8th century, of a religious Community which later became Gloucester Cathedral. A new statue of her was placed in the Cathedral last year. The Company has recently been created as a way of recognising women and men, lay and ordained, who have given particular service in our Diocese. From the South Cheltenham Churches, John Willard and Roger Richards will be amongst those to be admitted. All are welcome to come to the Cathedral to celebrate this occasion with John and Roger, and to give thanks for their ministry in the diocese. We congratulate them both on this honour.
