Can you believe it has been nearly a year since the last Family Funday in Warden Hill? Last year saw CNC, the South Cheltenham Churches and the local community come together to celebrate the wedding of Meghan and Harry, as well as enjoying fun activities together.
This year’s Funday will be a celebration of community and will take place on National Best Friend Day – 8 June at 11.00am – 2.30pm. We will be running stall and activities for all ages including refreshments, face painting, cake decorating, craft activities and even a paper aeroplane competition! During the day we will also be joined by Youth for Christ and Psalms (Putting Sport Alongside Local MinistrieS) promoting faith-based sports and running activities for 7-14 year olds. Plus a prayer space, and bouncy castle and hot food outside, and tea, cakes and table games for those who fancy a quieter sit down and a bit of a natter!
This event will be a fantastic opportunity to continue to sow the seeds of God’s love and bless and engage with the local community. Preparation for the day is already underway with more events happening nearer the time to pray for the community ahead of the event itself. One such event being a combined prayer walk and litter pick taking place the Saturday before on 1st June.
