Emmanuel Leckhampton’s 80th Anniversary!

Emmanuel Church in Leckhampton is celebrating its 80th anniversary in its current building.  We are marking the event with a display of the history of the church and surrounding community.  The display will extend beyond the 80 years, from the birth of the church as a St Luke’s initiative in the 19th century, to visions for the future of the church in the community. It will be in place from October 25th to November 5th, when the church will be open between 10am and 4pm.

If you have links with the parish and are willing to share images or memories, perhaps of weddings, baptisms or parties held in the hall, we would be very grateful if you will scan or photograph them and e-mail them to us with details.  We hope to add them to our display.

On Saturday 28 October at 3pm there will be a TEA PARTY when we will hear and share memories of Emmanuel over the last 80 years.  Sign up on the list in church if you want to come, or leave a message on 01242 570075. Then, on Sunday 29 October we have a special service of thanksgiving at 10am café style with brunch. All are invited to come and thank God for what he has done in the past, celebrate his presence with us today, and dedicate our future to him.
