Alternative Summer Fair

Our ‘Alternative Summer Fair’ is this Saturday 1st June, 1 -5pm, in the grounds of Church House (or in Church if it rains!).

Like many summer fairs there will be tea and cake stalls, plant stalls, a tombola and a raffle. But this is no ordinary summer fair – there will also be the opportunity to learn how to make compost, save water, grow wildflowers, get a bike check-up and learn how to save money on your energy bills. You’ll also be able to browse second hand clothes, books and bric-a-brac.
Organisations coming to help at the event include British Red Cross, Emmaus Gloucestershire, Vision 21, Cheltenham and Tewksbury Cycling Campaign, Friends of Pilley Bridge Nature Reserve, Fairshares Cheltenham, Transition Town Cheltenham, Lansdown Community Composting, Green  Doors Cheltenham and Severn Wye Energy Agency.

We do hope that members of the congregation will be able to come along and support the event. A big thank you to everyone who has already offered to help – if you would like to help out, please contact Mike Samuel.
