St Philip and St James’ have strong links with St James’ Church of England Primary School, and provide three foundation governors. St James is an academy converter school and is a member of the Diocesan Multi-Academy trust DGAT.
St. James’ has a longstanding tradition of maintaining high academic standards which has been celebrated by children, parents and inspectors alike over the years. It manages to combine this with a close family atmosphere and it is this combination that makes the school such a popular choice.
Children enjoy attending St. James’. The dedicated team of staff work hard to ensure that every aspect of school life is safe, happy, stimulating and productive. As well as providing rich and vibrant learning experiences in the classroom, the school also seeks to give pupils a wide range of extra-curricular experiences including music, sport and dramatic arts.
Members of our congregation, including our Team Rector, lead worship and run ‘Open the Book’ sessions at school. We also welcome the school to church for Christmas, Easter and Harvest services.
