We are one of five congregations who are part of our South Cheltenham team of Churches.
What will our team and community look like, if we are successful? Our team will be joyful, prayerful and engaged with our communities. We will be thriving, growing congregations reflecting a vivid mosaic of spirituality. Shaped by our communities and working together with our ecumenical partners, we will offer a prophetic, Kingdom challenge. As a result, South Cheltenham will know itself to be loved and supported. Intrigued by what we do, they will have a growing awareness of our team and our Churches as the spiritual hubs of inclusive communities.
What will we do as a team to bring this about? Following the Spirit’s lead, we will work together as a team, supporting each other and sharing our gifts to enable the transformation of our community, so that all may know fullness of life.
How we will do these things? As a team we will celebrate our ecumenical and spiritual diversity, enable lay ministry and be outward-facing. We will be light on our feet, adventurous and innovative, taking risks as we grow together. To read our strategy click on the link below…
The Church in Warden Hill is a local ecumenical partnership between the local United Reformed and Anglican Church. We are blessed with having two buildings that are available for community use and also youth workers to guide us in working alongside young people. We are here at the heart of Warden Hill as witnesses to Christ in all we do. Morning services alternate between the two Churches and draw upon the two denominational traditions. Evening services take place in St Christopher’s. Please visit our website for more information.
Emmanuel, Cheltenham is at the heart of the Naunton Park community. Each Sunday they gather to think, pray, sing and listen. So that in song or silence, in prayer or pondering, in church or the community they can grow closer to God and to each other and make a positive difference in the world. They have Communion Services each Sunday at 8am and 10am and Thursday at 10.30am. At 10am on the second Sunday it’s an All-Age Communion Service and on the third Sunday our 4-11s and 11+ have their own Lighthouse groups. At 4pm on the fourth Sunday they make, learn and eat together at Creative Church. Please visit their website for more information.
St Stephen’s is the Parish Church of Tivoli. The worshipping community at St Stephen’s rejoices in the knowledge that God works through those whom he has called to be his disciples, and counts it a privilege to work for Him in this parish, this town and through the world wide Church. St Stephen’s stands in the catholic tradition of the Church of England and welcomes newcomers to join them for the Eucharist, which is at the centre of their worship. The Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday at 8am according to the Book of Common Prayer and at 10am when there is a sung Eucharist. There is a Communion service at 10.30 every Wednesday and Feast Days are also celebrated on the day.
St Peter’s serves part of the Parish of Leckhampton. Their church is a beautiful listed building beneath the Cotswold escarpment on the outskirts of Cheltenham. They aim to serve the parish as a broad church, a musical church, an active church, a church for all ages, a church where everyone is always welcome.
