Nick is Team Rector of the South Cheltenham team and a past Area Dean of Cheltenham. He has been based at Pip and Jim’s since 2012. He studied Biblical Studies at Sheffield University and Systematic Theology at Edinburgh University. For seventeen years Nick worked in communications and fundraising in the voluntary sector, including Save the Children, Christian Aid and the Shaftesbury Society. Through this work Nick has developed a strong commitment to international peace and justice and his work has taken him to Pakistan, central America, the DRC and Rwanda. Nick trained for the priesthood at Westcott House in Cambridge and previously served in the diocese of Southwark. Nick is an elected member of Gloucester Diocesan Synod and serves on the Diocesan Advisory Committee for Church reordering. Nick is married to Helen, has two children and a Springer Spaniel. When not working Nick enjoys gardening, walking, cider making and playing the Ukulele.
Hazel Mace has been a member of P & J since moving to Cheltenham with her husband David and her two sons in 1986. She became the Parochial Church Council/Church Council Secretary in 1994 and held this position until becoming a Churchwarden in May 2004. Outside Church her interests include enjoying walking in the countryside and along coastal paths. She is a Southampton Football Club supporter and keen on white wine, local theatre and eating out. She has seen many changes over the years all of which have contributed to the welcoming, caring and worshipping nature of P & J.
